The wayfarers

Bismillah.. First and foremost, apology for the late update of this blog. I've been busy back then at Malaysia. With only 10 days being in Malaysia, each moment must be spent wisely.

I certainly will miss things like durian porridge with bread, coconut rice (nasi lemak), currypuff, RM 2.50 lunch set (very cheap ma!! Kt sini mane nak dapat?), fried tempe with sambal cili, roti canai and all things that you could think of about Msia! =) Oke2, enough said. Let us start with the sharing, the knowledge that I've collected during my winter trip.

Let me start with this hadith about musafir. Before we start our winter trip, a few copies of this hadith were distributed to everyone . Click on the image for clearer view. It is the 40th hadis of Forty Hadith by Imam Nawawi.

Translation: On the authority of Ibnu Umar radhiallahu 'anhu, who said: The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took me by my shoulder and said, "Be in the world as though you were a stranger or a wayfarer". The son of Umar used to say, "At the evening do not expect (to live till) morning, and at the morning do not expect (to live till) evening. Take from your health (a preparation) for your illness and from your life your death"
[related Bukhari]

This hadith told us to not feel settle down and comfortable in this temporary world. Let us filled this journey as a wayfarer with amar maaruf (practice good deeds) and nahi mungkar (forbid bad deeds) that will secure our place in Jannah insyAllah.. =)

Allow me to end this post with a nasyid theme for our winter trip, by Muadz - The wayfarers.

We are the wayfarers
We are the travelers
Wondering through the planet earth
And see how great the Creator is
We are the wayfarers
We are the travelers
Don't you ever think how strange it is
To treat everything as tough as it's ours

"كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب أو عا بر سبيل"
"Live in this world as though you're stranger or you are a wayfarer"

Look at the north look at the south
Look at the east and look at the west
People are suffering people are dying
The killing is never ending

How can we in the name of humanity
Allow our brothers and sisters to suffer
Too much power too much greed
Destroy our souls forever

The air that we breath the water we drink
Give us life or don't we ever think
So take good care of the things we have
Before it's too late too little left to survive

The plants and the forest give strength to the earth
Gives life and protection to the other creatures
The rivers the lake that bring sweet water
Let them flow

So fellow travelers lets do our bit
Let's keep mother earth a good place to live
Peaceful and clean beautiful and safe
A worthwhile inheritance for our kids

He shall be fine
Hands and hands together we stand
Put the differences and arrogance behind
With faith, trust and love we shall be fine
